Time to meet another member of our team - Meet Mairead! Mairead is the proud owner of The Dresser, from overseeing the entire business to being the ultimate boss mum, she is woman behind it all and a true super woman!
What Does Your Typical Week Look Like?
As the owner of a busy and growing boutique no week or day is the same!
I split my time between serving customers in our store, spending time going to buying appointments and sourcing new amazing brands, coordinating photoshoots, creating videos, running our social media accounts, managing staff, and of course (boring) admin.
As you can see its A LOT of roles in one and I’m so lucky to call it my job!
What Is Your Proudest/Most Challenging Moment To Date?
The answer to both of these questions would be the same… our beautiful new store! It was a lot of work, starting just 3 weeks after my daughter was born. I knew exactly how I wanted our store to look and feel and had waited a long time to achieve it so I wasn’t going to pass up the opportunity and we worked day and night to get it open. It was worth every second!
Winning Ulster Tatler’s Boutique of the Year that very same week is absolutely joint second for proudest moment 😊
What Is Your Favourite Part Of Your Job?
As my job is so varied Its hard to pick just one – I have two 😊 Spending time in store with our customers is always my happiest time, along with sourcing and choosing stock. I spend a lot of effort making sure we stock the best styles as that’s what makes The Dresser the best place to shop!
Casual or Glam?
Like most of us, both! Haha. After covid we’ve got used to dressing casually and comfort is great, but getting the opportunity to dress up does wonders for us all when the time is right 😊 Roll on more occasions in the very near future!
Tell Us Something We Don’t Know About You?
In my life before The Dresser I was a buyer, but not in fashion. I bought pharmaceuticals, medication, and diagnostics. Which isn’t nearly as exciting as clothes so I’ll stick to that!
What Item Of Clothing Could You Not Do Without?
Its not very glam but its Jeans! In every colour, length, and cut, I LOVE them all!
