How To Transition Your Wardrobe from Winter to Spring
It's that time of year! The evenings get longer and brighter, we catch a glimpse of the sun more and more, and we can’t avoid all the bright colours and prints now in the shops.
Its time for Spring!
The question is, how to transition your wardrobe from those Winter pieces you’ve lived in for what feels like approximately 25 months, into weather-appropriate pieces.
Well we’re making it easy for you!
- Start with some key pieces. There’s no need to break the bank to update your wardrobe every season. Figure out what your style is and what pieces compliment that and start there. From prints, pleats, ruffles, bows and florals, there’s a trend for everyone
- Embrace the trends! Don’t shy away from this season’s trends just because it doesn’t feel Summery enough yet. Purchase some of the corals, lilacs and lemons, and bold clashing prints that are big this season to help move your wardrobe forward.
- Pair your boots with some floral or printed dresses and start to show some leg . Bright, bold colours and prints are massive for Spring/Summer 2019 and a great way to avoid being too over-dressed is to pair them with your boots – ankle or knee high. Go with the flow!
- Pleats are going nowhere for 2019 and printed pleated skirts are everywhere. Pair yours with a knit and sneakers for day time until the temperatures allow for the lighter blouses and t-shirts
- Denim is your best friend all year round. You can pair them with lighter t-shirts and blouses and not feel the cold! Then introduce your peep-toe block heels when you see the sun J
- Fabrics that would normally contradict each other are perfectly fine for Spring 2019. The latest trend of clashing prints and styles lends for matching lighter and heavier fabrics to help you transition between seasons.
- Good old fashioned layering! Plan your outfit for a warmer day and add/remove layers depending on how the weather pans out. In Ireland we’re never too far from a rain shower, when did that ever stop us!
