Meet Laura! Our Chatty Sales Assistant
In the second of our Meet the Team series, we chat to Laura about her role in The Dresser and her fashion faves!
How did you first get into the fashion/retail industry?
Before I worked in retail I worked in day nurseries and as a private nanny. In 2018 after I got married, I decided I needed a change of pace and applied for a retail role in a high street store. I fell in love with working with people and the whole fashion environment and it has definitely grown more since working for an independent boutique.
What does your role of the dresser involve?
My role includes working with the customers to help pick outfits and to give fashion advice. It also includes merchandising and unpacking, tagging and steaming stock.
What is your favourite part of your job?
I love seeing the new deliveries coming into the store to see what the trends are each season.
Summer or Winter fashion?
Definitely Winter! I live for boots and cozy jumpers!!
What item of clothing could you not do without?
I could not live without a good pair of heeled tan boots. I think they can instantly dress up an outfit and they basically go with anything. They are a must in my wardrobe.
Casual or glam?
As much as I love dressing up it has to be casual clothes. When I'm not in The Dresser I spend my days running around after my little boy so definitely jeans t-shirt and a pair of runners.
